i think i was born from all the little broken pieces
the flaws and broken promises and
untold lies of all the people who just couldn’t
do it anymore.
i have a scar on my little finger from an accident
a few years ago
where i slammed it in the metal of a door:
i like to show it to everybody
so they can be horrified at my battle wounds, and
want to fix them up.
my old psychologist used to say that i do it because
i know they’ll run if they see the other scars, the ones
spread across my thighs like a roadmap,
the ones on my wrists, the two at the crook of my elbow
that have never quite faded completely.
show them the parts where the world tried to save you
and they won’t want to see the wounds you inflicted
trying to ruin yourself.
or was i trying to save myself?
i did not mean to write so many
sad poems
but i’ve broken my own heart so many times
tired my liver with drugs
exercised my heart with pain
and stretched my skin with cuts and bruises;
i don’t know how to
not be sad anymore.

she’s a ravenclaw and she’s into historical revisionism and writes lengthy and intelligent articles for the zine. she’s also into mixing ‘alternative potions’, and plays as a chaser for the ravenclaw quidditch team.

she hates how history of magic is taught at Hogwarts though, its all books written by crusty old white pureblood dudes (“there isn’t a single non-human author in the syllabus, don’t tell me that doesn’t say something.”).
